Preserving Nature and Culture: The Legacy of Nacekova Hiša

In this photo, you can see the final plaster being done inside the house. A house that has been standing for 85 years, and in very bad shape from 2010 to 2015. However, with common forces and efforts we have managed to bring some life to it again.
We have held 4 international and countless local events at the house where young people from several EU and non-EU countries could experience building with Earth, Straw, and sand themselves and learn to restore old doors, furniture, and windows.
The house has been restored in large part due to their commitment and willingness to cooperate.
Working on it has always felt great, and getting dirty in the mud the least of a problem for everyone. Seeing the results of the work is a very rewarding feeling, and several of those participants have returned the following year to continue their learning journey and connection to the house.
